Do I need a doctor referral to start treatment at Active Body Clinic?
No, we do not need a doctor referral to assess you
and begin treatment. However, some insurance companies may require
a doctor referral in order to issue payments for your treatments.
2. Will OHIP pay for my Physiotherapy,
Chiropractic or Acupuncture visits?
No, Active Body Clinic is not considered an OHIP funded
clinic. Your treatment may be covered by:
• Extended Health Benefits
• Car Insurance if a result of a Motor Vehicle Accident
• WSIB if a result of a work-related injury
3. What should I wear when I come
to Active Body Clinic?
Please dress in comfortable loose fitted clothing that
will allow you to exercise comfortably. Athletic shoes are required
if participating in a gym program at Active Body Clinic.
4. How much notice is required to
cancel my appointment and is there a fee for canceling?
We would appreciate 24 hours notice, as a courtesy to other
patients who wish to book the same appointment time. In the case
of an emergency, please contact the clinic at your earliest convenience.
If compliance to your program becomes an issue, charges will apply
for each visit cancelled.
5. Should I notify the clinic when
I stop therapy for any reason?
Yes. This will help us to complete your Discharge Report
promptly and close your file in a timely manner.
