Massage therapy involves the assessment
and manipulation of soft tissues for a therapeutic effect. This advanced
hands-on treatment can be preventative or restorative through promoting
the healing process, improving body alignment and helping to relieve
pain. Massage can help alleviate the soft tissue discomfort associated
with everyday stress, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes.

Active Body Clinic applies modern principles of
weight loss to help you lose weight and keep it off. Our one-to-one
Doctor supervised program is custom tailored to your needs. We do
not participate in fad diets; rather we use proven and established
scientific principles that result in healthy weight loss. Our unique
three pronged approach includes: • Diet – We
will teach you all you need to know to eat an enjoyable and healthy
diet. Positive side effects of diet adjustment in our weight loss
program include some or all of increased cardiovascular function,
decreased risk of most diseases including cancer and diabetes,
decreased constipation, and more. • Exercise –
Participation in a gentle and easy exercise program is all that is
needed to begin the road to weight loss. We will work with you to
custom tailor a program that is enjoyable and relaxing. Positive side
effects of incorporating exercise into our weight loss program include
improved cardiovascular function, decreased risk of diabetes, osteoporosis
and other diseases, and improved strength, flexibility and endurance.

to help clients with high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol,
constipation, diabetes, and food intolerances. As well, we work with
athletes to improve sport performance and increase lean body mass.

Hardening & Work Conditioning |
Musculoskeletal injuries are the number one cause
of all work-related injuries in the United States work force with
back injuries alone comprising approximately one third of the total
compensable injuries. These statistics account for the approximately
$US 16 billion dollars spent annually for the medical costs and lost
wage claims associated with workers’ compensation cases. It
is no wonder that following an injury a quick return to work is crucial
in reducing the economic and human costs (e.g., depression, loss of
self-esteem, anxiety, etc.) of work related accidents. Consequently
work hardening and work conditioning programs were developed. At Active
